Helpful Plumbing Tips

  1. Be careful about what you throw down the kitchen sink and garbage disposal: cooking oil, coffee beans, fruit and vegetable peels, and any type of seeds will clog the line faster and cause costly mainline issues.
  2. Be careful about what goes down the shower drain: hair and sand are a major cause of blockage in between the pipes.
  3. Keep an eye on all the piping and plumbing fixtures in your unit. Look for any corrosion to prevent pinholes or any leaks. In addition, open and close your main shutoff valves every 3-6 months to make sure they are operating properly. If your valves are difficult to move – DO NOT FORCE THEM CLOSED! This can cause the valve to burst, which will flood your unit. If your valves seem to be corroded or “frozen,” contact a plumber to have the valve replaced.
  4. It is recommended to have a plumber inspect your in-unit fixtures and appliances annually as preventative maintenance. The small cost of having a plumber come out to inspect your fixtures and appliances may save you thousands in the long-run if a flood can be prevented!

Please Be Vigilant!

Please be advised that it was reported that a homeless person was able to access the parking garage by sneaking in through the vehicle exit gate while a vehicle was leaving the building. Luckily a resident saw and was able to get this person to leave the property, but this is a good reminder that all residents must make building security their constant and top priority. As such, it critically important that all residents stay vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times by following the below safety guidelines:

1. DO NOT allow anyone to follow you in a community entrance or vehicle gate. If you see someone enter through a gate as you are entering/exiting, call the police immediately.

2. DO NOT leave any valuables in the open.

3. DO NOT leave any valuables in your vehicle.

4. DO NOT leave any visible personal belongings or items in your vehicle.

5. Call the police if you see a trespasser onsite (emergency: 911).

We hope you are all staying safe and thank you for taking the time to review this message.
